The court has the responsibility to administer and monitor all court-supervised cases for deceased persons, including the management of properties or monies, and compliance with all requirements under the law.  Annual accountings are required of dependent personal representatives handling property or funds. Court staff audit all accounts and reports and follow up on deficiencies.  The court enforces compliance with the Texas Estates Code by calling to account personal representatives who fail to take all actions required by law.
