Welcome to Tarrant County Precinct 2!

As your County Commissioner for Southeast Tarrant County, I want to highlight the incredible diversity that makes our precinct so special. We are a community of different cultures, backgrounds, and traditions, and it's this diversity that enriches our lives every day.

From the entertainment district in Arlington, Texas, home to the Texas Rangers, to the historic downtown of Mansfield, Texas, and all across our wonderful precinct, we create a vibrant, inclusive, and harmonious environment. I'm dedicated to serving and representing every member of our diverse community. Thank you for being a part of this amazing journey with us!

Mission Statement: At Tarrant County Precinct 2, our mission is to enhance what county government can achieve, by serving more families and individuals, all while maintaining responsible and reasonable fiscal stewardship, operational efficiencies, and innovative ideas. We provide purpose-driven leadership that prioritizes safe communities, inclusive public policy, justice, transparent and accountable governance, respectful public engagement, judicious exercise of authority, and responsible management of public resources. We will meet the needs and concerns of all our citizens, today and in the future, by delivering high-quality services and upholding the values of integrity, fairness, and progress.

This is a clear act of intentional discrimination.

Commissioner Alisa Simmons Press Release on Racial Gerrymander

Mon Mar 31 14:12:00 CDT 2025 - On Wednesday, April 2, the Tarrant County Commissioners Court will consider a dangerous, destructive, and illegal power grab by County Judge Tim O’Hare and other extremist county leaders designed to intentionally undermine and destroy minority voting strength in Tarrant County. The effort is disguised as a routine legal services agreement with the Public Interest Legal Foundation, but this agenda item is the first step in an extremist effort to redraw Commissioner precinct boundaries mid-decade—without justification and with the clear intent to discriminate against Black, Hispanic, and other minority voters in Tarrant County.

Commissioner Alisa Simmons Statement on Sheriff Waybourn Son

Fri Mar 07 07:50:00 CST 2025 - The swift release of Sheriff Bill Waybourn's son, despite multiple felony charges, highlights disparities in the justice system, as he was spared a night in the Tarrant County jail, where many others with similar mental health issues have died due to neglect or lack of recourses.
