Judge Chris Ponder was first elected to Tarrant County Probate Court No. 1 in 2018. He was subsequently re-elected in 2022 and continues to serve the citizens of Tarrant County. Prior to taking the bench, Judge Ponder served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Civil Division of the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office. Judge Ponder grew up in Arlington, Texas, where he graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1994 and the University of Texas at Arlington in 1999. In 2003, he graduated from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (now Texas A&M University School of Law). |
