Summary: Donor is an active local historian and longtime member of the Tarrant County Historical Society. The Tarrant County Historical Society was organized in 1948. It replaced the defunct Fort Worth Historical Society that had existed from 1925 to 1940. The original objective of the TCHS was to collect and preserve local historical materials in preparation for the Fort Worth centennial celebration the following year.
