Handley Neighborhood Association Collection
HISTORICAL NOTE
The Handley Neighborhood Association (HNA) was established in 1999 to “preserve, protect, beautify, improve and inform” the Handley area. The HNA represents the area that is bound in the north by Meadowbrook Drive, in the south by Rosedale Street, in the west by Weiler Boulevard, and in the east by Cooks Lane. Since 1999, the HNA established the historic business district, supported local historic preservation efforts, hosted the annual Historic Handley Street Festival and other neighborhood events, and opened a railroad museum with a restored caboose. The community received extensive improvements to their public and residential spaces in 2000 when the HNA won the Model Block grant awarded by the City of Fort Worth.
