Executive Women International is a business and service organization that was established in 1938 in San Francisco, CA, and to this day has member chapters all around the world. The organization was established to give women working in businesses as secretaries and later in higher level positions the ability to work with executives in their firms for the betterment of the firms and for civic good. The Fort Worth Chapter of Executive Women International was established in 1954 and disbanded sometime in the 1990s or early 2000s.

Materials in this collection were donated by Janet S. Minke, an member of the Executive Women International, Fort Worth Chapter in the 1980s and 1990s. After serving in various other elected positions, she was elected to be Chapter president for 1989, the year that these materials document. Minke had a long career working for several land title insurance companies in Fort Worth, including Commonwealth and Guardian, before retiring as vice president of underwriting support services for Alliant National Title Insurance Company in 2018.
