Education
is a cooperative effort between the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office and the school districts within Tarrant County. This program is a series of lessons presented to students by Sheriff’s Deputies. The program does more than just encourage students to say no to drugs. It teaches students to recognize the many pressures they will face to experiment with drugs and gives them skills they can use to resist those pressures. The students also learn about self-esteem, decision-making and positive alternatives to drug-abuse behavior in addition to gun safety, bullying and other topics.
