Clinical Services
Tarrant County Public Health (TCPH) operates a number of clinics that provide specific services.
Adult Health Services performs testing, education, outreach and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).
Disease Surveillance, Outreach and Prevention (DSOP)
This group provides surveillance, reporting and investigations of Sexually Transmitted Infections, HIV/AIDs and Tuberculosis cases, along with targeted education, testing and referral for treatment for individuals affected by these diseases.
This team also leads our confidential STD testing outreach sites.
TCPH provides a variety of vaccines for children and adults at several public health centers and clinic locations, as well as during summer back-to-school events. Immunization records can be requested by email and in person through the Vaccine Distribution Center. Allow two business days for email requests.
Each summer Public Health joins with other healthcare providers to offer back-to-school immunizations specifically for resident's children who are returning to school in the fall.
Our Perinatal Hepatitis B program can provide case management for infants born to mothers who test positive for Hepatitis B during pregnancy.
A separate Travel Health Services clinic is also available to provide immunizations and other services for people who plan to travel abroad.
Preventive Medicine Clinic (PMC)
The Preventive Medicine Clinic works with adults living with HIV, offering confidential education, testing, counseling, primary medical care, treatment and case management.
This clinic provides health screenings to foreign nationals settling in Tarrant County. The clinic works in cooperation with the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) to provide incoming displaced persons from around the world with screenings for general health, nutrition and tuberculosis (TB).
Tuberculosis Elimination works to prevent, control and eliminate tuberculosis among the people of Tarrant County. This clinic provides screening and treatment for tuberculosis, responds to TB occurrences, and conducts ongoing educational outreach services tp help people be more aware of how they can stop the spread of TB.
