Personal Financial Statements
Per Chapter 159 of the Local Government Code, a county officer (i.e., county judge, county commissioner), a county judicial officer (i.e., judge of a statutory county court or a statutory probate court), justice of the peace, and candidates for those offices are required to file a Personal Financial Statement (PFS) with the County Clerk by 5 p.m. on April 30th of each year. Only a county judicial officer or candidate can file their PFS with either the County Clerk or the Texas Ethics Commission. A county judicial officer or candidate who files a PFS with the commission must file with the County Clerk a document stating that the officer or candidate is filing the PFS with the commission. The document must be filed by the April 30th deadline.

County officers, county judicial officers, justices of the peace, and candidates can submit their PFS with the Tarrrant County Clerk electroncially via our e-File PFS Portal. You must be registered to access the e-portal. To verify you are registered or request access, please call 817-884-1070.
Please note that all candidates (even unopposed) running for election for these positions are also required to file a PFS prior to the primary election.
