Commissioner Gary Fickes created Empowering Seniors to fill a need to provide great resources to our area seniors to keep the best quality of life in Northeast Tarrant County. This one-day event grew from 300 attendees in 2009 to 2,500 in 2023. We were also inspired to transform our website to serve you year-round, allowing us to provide you with valuable information, games, and resources, all available on the website.
This year we are excited to team up with Tarrant County Judge Tim O'Hare's Senior Synergy to provide one huge in-person Empowering Seniors EXPO on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Will Rogers Amon G. Carter Jr. Exhibit Hall, 3400 Burnett-Tandy Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76107. Join us for workshops, resources, entertainment, food, health screenings, free parking, and fun!

Every other month, join us for coffee, donuts, and great conversations at this come-and-go gathering at the Northeast Courthouse from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
